Server Rules

The commonsense rules -

  • A good-quality microphone is mandatory for communication. Voice changers, if used, should also be of good quality. Avoid high-pitched or robotic voices. If your voice/microphone settings are not proper for the server, you may be asked to leave.

  • Push to Talk (PTT) is REQUIRED at all times while in the server.

  • Participants must be 18 years or older to be whitelisted.

  • Streaming music in the city/server is not allowed, except for 100% original content created by the player due to DMCA laws.

  • Always maintain an in-character presence during scenes. If issues arise, complete the scene and report it in the proper ticket channel. Refrain from toxic behavior, discussing tickets, or revealing personal information, or any other situations that your character wouldn't/shouldn't know anything about, as it is considered out-of-character (OOC) conversation.

  • All players must adhere to the Terms of Service (ToS). (Rockstar, Discord, streaming platforms, the server rules, etc.)

  • Toxicity or engaging in toxic behavior on any platform will result in removal from the community.

  • Racial slurs, derogatory statements, homophobic or any other forms of discrimination is strictly prohibited in the server and/or Discord. This is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy.

  • If you permanently kill off a character, there is no coming back from it. If you accidentally delete your character, there is no coming back from that either. There is no possible way they can be recovered. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you understand if you intend on doing these things.

  • Choose realistic character names. They must also be compliant with server rules and ToS of Rockstar and any other relevant platforms. (I can override your name, FAFO. You come in with a name of "Trap God" you're going to leave as Penelope Snuffanuffapuss.)

  • Creating new characters with the intent to transfer funds or assets to another character is strictly forbidden. Engaging in such activities may result in being stripped of all in-game currency/items and forced to start from zero and/or banned. The transfer of accumulated assets between characters, regardless of the reason, is not allowed. These rules are in place to ensure fairness and maintain a balanced economy within our community. No, we aren't playing "Scooby is my brother and he gave me all this". You'll just dig yourself a deeper hole.

Roleplay Rules

  • As staff and administration, our goal is never to dictate your creative freedom or control your character's arc. We want this community to be an inclusive space where everyone can roleplay freely, provided they follow our established rules and policies. This server is meant to run on its own autonomy governed by its citizens with little to no staff intervention unless needed.

  • If you suspect another player has broken a rule, please use the proper channels on Discord to submit a formal ticket. Please remember that when staff, admins, or server owners are active in-game, they are there to immerse themselves and enjoy their own roleplay—not to act as on-duty referees or handle active disputes. Do not seek out or follow staff members in-game to report players. Instead, rely entirely on the Discord ticketing system to let our team review situations objectively.

  • Just like any other encounter in the city, interactions with police must develop naturally and remain entirely driven by organic, immersive roleplay. Running around speeding, driving unrealistically doing intentional acts blatantly in front of Law Enforcement or interrupting their scene/activities to provoke a reaction, chase, shootout shouldn't happen. Those actions would be considered cop baiting and/or forced RP and will be treated and handled as such.
  • Not Valuing Life (NVL) is strictly prohibited. Players must show a realistic fear for their life when threatened with a weapon or facing immediate danger and are expected to comply with reasonable demands. Outnumbered gun wise 2 to 1 or more you must value/fear for your life. Reports of NVL will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for unique situations where it may or may not have been failure to value/fear for your life.

  • All acts of violence must have a clear narrative justification and proper verbal interaction before any shots are fired or attacks are made. We are a roleplay over gun-play server. RDM (Random Death Matching) will not be tolerated.

  • Each player may have only one gang-affiliated character. Each individual character may hold only one government job.

  • Pocket wiping is permitted only when backed by proper, high-quality roleplay. However, stealing from a downed player involved in a scene you were not originally a part of is considered FailRP. Food and drink are NOT to be taken from any downed player. Players are strictly prohibited from entering an unrelated scene solely to loot downed individuals. Additionally, looting Medical Staff (EMS) is strictly prohibited under any circumstance. First responders are entirely off-limits for pocket wiping or theft. Law Enforcement if downed and you are a part of that scene may be looted.

  • Criminals may attempt to redirect or divert police attention, provided the diversion does not involve unreasonable or high-speed ramming. Proportional vehicle retaliation is permitted if another player uses reasonable vehicle contact against you, but any response must still strictly follow NVL and FailRP rules. Excessively high-speed or unrealistic collisions remain completely prohibited, regardless of who initiated the contact.

  • When attempting to take a hostage, players must exit their vehicle, visibly draw their weapons, and establish meaningful roleplay. Remaining inside a vehicle with the windows rolled up and simply ordering someone to get inside is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, a hostage must be taken for a legitimate, established roleplay purpose—such as a bank robbery, store heist, or active narrative conflict—rather than for random trolling or chaos.

  • Hostages must be randomly selected and may not be affiliated with your gang, criminal group, family, or friend group. Hostages may not be used for “life-for-life” exchanges or ransom. This includes taking PD or EMS hostage to demand someone’s release from custody or demanding money in exchange for a hostage’s life. PD and EMS are eligible to be taken as a hostage. They should be treated as a normal hostage and follow the same rules. PD is prohibited from shooting the hostage takers just because they took an officer. Police hostages must be taken realistically, i.e. out in the world. Not taken from PD or St. Fiacre hospital. People taking hostages in unrealistic locations like PD or the hospital and attempting to turn the hospital into a warzone will be considered Fail/Low Effort RP since the likelihood of pulling that off in the real world is very minimal.

  • A hostage may only be used for a single robbery or criminal job. The hostage must be safely released or returned as soon as the robbery ends, or once they have been held for a maximum of 30 minutes—whichever happens first. Hostages cannot be carried over between multiple robberies, nor can they be held for an unnecessarily extended period. Additionally, you cannot take the same individual hostage again until at least 30 minutes have passed since your first robbery with them.

  • If an active scenario is interrupted by a server restart or crash, all participating players must return to the scene as soon as they log back in. This rule applies to active EMS treatment, police custody, hostage situations, or any interaction where your character is under another party's control. Using a technical disconnection to evade roleplay will be considered "Combat Logging" and will be considered and treated as such. If for whatever reason in life you can not return to your scene, reach out in a ticket and let staff know and can address it if it comes up. Exception to this rule is, if your character "saw the light" (died or checked in) before the server went down, the New Life Rule (NLR) will override this requirement, and you must not return to the scene.

  • New Life Rule: Your character's memory after incapacitation depends on how they were downed:
  1. Unconscious (Laying on the ground face up) - Full memory retained.
  2. Incapacitated (Laying on the ground face down/bleeding out) - You can remember if someone takes you to the hospital.
  3. Respawn (Pressing G after the timer expires and "going to the light") - No recollection of the previous 30 min of activities prior to respawning. Only way you can "know" what happened if you respawned is if someone informs you.
  • Players who have not seen the light must roleplay their medical treatment with EMS. Roleplaying injuries while being treated must be realistic. To not do so is considered low-effort RP. If it is a large scene with a high number of casualties, PD/EMS will do the best they can to get everyone medical attention. You MAY NOT GO TO THE LIGHT UNLESS PD ON THE SCENE HAS VERBALLY TOLD YOU THAT YOU MAY GO TO THE LIGHT.  Doing so will be considered "Combat Logging" to avoid consequences and treated as such. This gives PD A) The time they need to arrive on scene from other scenes and gather information/conduct their investigation of the scene and B) secure the scene for EMS to arrive to start triaging, picking up and transporting downed individuals to the hospital giving them a chance to get their RP from the situation. If no EMS/PD is on or shows up before the counter expires you may go to the light.
  • Once a player voluntarily leaves an active scene, they may not return until 15 min after the scene has completely concluded (conflict over, players downed removed or gone to the light, all PD/EMS personnel have left the area). Players may not leave and later rejoin after receiving medical treatment, gathering additional weapons or supplies, taking out or storing a vehicle, or otherwise removing themselves from the scene. A server restart and a server crash are the exception, where players are expected to return to their scenes to finish.
